The cloudfalls of heavy rain with increased intensity in Sunday's afternoon hours have caused a debacle in the Electric Network around Kosovo. Pristina, Gjakova and Ferizaj were the most amputated areas, due to the most intense rainfall, even with strong winds. But our teams have managed most of the damage in Ferizaj and Gjakova. The situation has deteriorated in the Mitrovica region, respectively, in Mitrovica, Vushtrri and Skenderaj. This, since the winds and rains in the last few minutes have been carried in the northern part of the country.
Seeing the situation, KED has been mobilised immediately. Our teams are all the time on the ground with increased capacity and are working on the amount of damage done. We remember that winds and heavy rain, as well as broken trees and roads blocked by blindness are making it more difficult to intervene, and this is affecting in many cases even the duration of decay.
But, KEDS remains committed and is doing everything possible for infected consumers to get electricity back as soon as possible. It is noteworthy that over 90 percent of consumers continue to supply without interference and have no trouble with the services they receive from us.
While infected consumers seek understanding due to severe atmospheric conditions. KEDS will continue to keep you informed of the situation on the ground as far as electricity and areas infected by the deteriorating weather.
