Dutch crime journalist Peter R. de Vries has died in the hospital, according to a statement issued by his family and published by the national broadcaster. NOS.
The 64-year-old, known for his investigative work exposing the crime world, was shot in Amsterdam on July 6th, shortly after recording an interview with RTL, CNN writes, broadcast news.net.
De Vries' family said they are <x0-headed for and at the same time unstable”, according to the statement.
“Peter fought to the end, but he couldn't win the battle,” The family said.
