The driver who was driving at the moment of the accident accepted it during the police interview that he had fallen asleep for a moment. The same guy was arrested right after the accident.

That's what Deputy Municipal Prosecutor Slavko Pronjq has confirmed.

According to evidence confirmed so far, it's about the bus exit on the south side of the road. The bus was travelling from Frankfurt to Pristina, the transportation of Deva Tours with headquarters in Pristina. The bus driver was found at the scene, he was arrested. An investigation has been conducted, other actions have been taken to initiate criminal procedures.

Civil Protection Chief in Croatia Damir Trut and Health Minister Willy Beross have emerged at the scene.

After visiting the hospital in Slavonski Brod, where 45 injured sought help, Willi Beros addressed the public, showing that 15 people have been seriously injured, among whom a young girl, reports Index.hr.

“69 people, 67 passengers and 2 drivers were involved in the” accident, Beosh said. “15 people were seriously injured”, he added.

“was also a minor in the accident, a girl was severely injured”, the Croatian minister stressed.

He said six rescue teams were soon involved on the ground.

Meanwhile, Croatian Civil Protection chief Damir Trut said there were children on the bus.

Regional hospital director Dr. Josip Samardzchi said 45 people had been admitted to the hospital since morning, who had sought medical assistance after this serious accident on the highway near Slavonski Brod, and that eight were badly injured.

For the tragic accident, the tourist company “Deva Tours” has reported that among the dead there is another driver.

With deep sorrow, we announce that today at 6:30, one of our Frankfurt-Pristina bus buses has been in an accident in Slovanski-Brod, Croatia. Based on the information we have from the site, we are informed that some of our passengers (also one of our drivers) have passed away at the scene, and others have been injured”, it says in response.

This company has expressed condolences to all the victims' families and has said it will stand at all possibilities for victims' families and wounded.

By sharing the pain and deep concern with all the passengers, we assure you that our company will probably stay close to the families of the victims and the injured in this accident. Our representatives from Germany and Kosovo are on their way to the scene, and for other details we will be keeping informed in time of”, the company's response reported.

In the case, the heads of state institutions have also reacted.

President Vjosa Osmani has said the state of Kosovo will be at the side of families of those who have died as well as of those who have been injured.

He has suggested that Interior Minister Jalal Svecla has left for Croatia.

Even Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca has reacted after the tragic accident in Croatia, where 10 people were killed and dozens more injured.
