Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Minister Donika Grovalla-Schwarz has crashed with Serbian Secretary of State Nemanja Starovic over the Mini-Schengen issue along the Dubrovnik Forum held on Saturday.
Kosovo's top diplomat has rejected the “Mini-Schengen initiative”, viewing it as “falsse and trap”, until she said she should not be viewed as an alternative to EU integration.
On the other hand, the Serbian diplomat has expressed surprise over the criticism of top diplomat Gervala-Schwarz.
“E We have started as the Republic of Serbia with Macedonia and Albania. Nor is it a substitute for EU integration, but it is something that meets and runs parallel, not having to expect something to happen”, he has said.
Among other things, he has said that even though it has been launched as a project by Belgrade, Skopje and Pristina “Meni-Senenni is open to the entire region.
Meanwhile, among the provisions of the Washington Agreement reached in September last year between Kosovo and Serbia are implementation of the Mini-Schengen project.
