Division within the VVA? Artan Krasniqi shows reasons why he will not run for Vushtrri chairman

Krasniqi says that despite his strong support for his candidacy, there were reactions within Vetevendosje in Vushtrri that did not want his candidacy.

“Pasi has been talked about by my name as a possible candidate from Movement V For mayor of the Vushtrri municipality, I made a post earlier that explained that if I get in the race, I will respect the statute and bodies of Movement. Despite much support in general, there were reactions within the organisation in Vushtrri, which clearly imply that there is no agreement on that. The reasoning of some disgruntled ones was mainly about my failure to make up for it in recent years (like!). I've never been ready to cross “with elbow” inside the organisation; let's take this as he wants”, Krasniqi wrote on Facebook.

He added that he was willing to stop his professional engagement that he invested over two decades of schooling for running, which he says would have to be seen as a sacrifice.

I have invested over two decades of schooling to my profession, with much effort, and my willingness to interrupt professional commitment even temporarily because of contribution to the Movement I think should be viewed as sacrifice.

Under these circumstances, from the heart of all activists, friends and citizens who have welcomed and encouraged my potential candidacy announce that I will not be a candidate. I hope, however, that the candidate of the movement whoever can create a spirit of unity, co-operation and harmony, not the opposite, and that the race in Vushtrri will be won without a run-off. Success!” Krasniqi added.

We remember Krasniqi was recently talked about as the possible candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement for the head of the Vushtrri municipality. He even through a status expressed willingness to enter the race to lead this municipality.
