Under the preparation for organising local elections, the Central Election Commission (KQZ) will start recording applications today for all voters from outside Kosovo who want to participate in this year's October 17th elections.

He made it known, chief head of the CEC Secretariat Burim Ahmetaj at yesterday's CEC meeting.

The operation that is preparing the secretariat is the one through mail, when there is also the application period to register as voters from abroad. The secretariat has identified all e-mail addresses of all voters who have been approved in the February 14th elections. The same ones will send e-mail addresses to confirm whether they want to participate in the election... Tomorrow, July 10th, we think of starting in the operation via mail”, he said.

It was this point that sparked debate and confrontation among the members of the CEC themselves.

Vetevendosje Movement member Sami Kurteshi, seeking additional clarifications for the registration of voter applications from outside Kosovo, dealt blindly with PDK member in the CEC, Arian Elashani.

Kurteshi sometimes said the same thing not to interfere with his speech until criticism was exchanged.

Regarding the continuing clashes in this electoral institution, CEC leader Kreshnik Radoniqi said trouble among itself the members of the CEC should resolve and not make unnecessary debates.

At this CEC meeting, it became known that also List Gexo, as civic initiative, has applied for certificates in municipal assembly elections in Ferizaj.

In addition, all polling stations in the February 17th elections were approved at yesterday's meeting.
