Health Minister Arben Vitita, after being vaccinated with the first dose of Astra-Zeneca vaccine, has called on all citizens who are vaccinated with Astra-Zeneca, which he himself took, as well as Pfizer, until he has announced that the review of the measures has been postponed due to the Delta appearance, but that they will be revised this week.

Minister Vitita from the vaccine centre in Pristina said we are not in a position to behave as if there is no virus, and the only way to win the battle with Covid-19 is the vaccine.

According to him, Kosovo is one of the region's rare and wider countries that have not accepted EMA-free vaccines, and thus two types of vaccines supported for safety in scientific evidence have been provided.

“I call for access to e-Kosovo and make the term for vaccine, no citizens remain unaccompanied, cannot be vaccinated due to failure on the platform. The communities will help mobile teams register and vaccinate. We've got and we're only taking approved vaccines, but we're not taking Russian or Chinese vaccines, it's not about politics, it's about the safety of vaccines and the health of citizens. It's not time to stigmatize the vaccines that are being used. We have to say yes to the Astra-Zeneca vaccines I took today and Pfizer. I urge you not to hesitate even less and vaccinate”, he said, adding that the MS has established professional teams and can be managed up to 17 thousand doses a day.

Minister Vitita stressed that Dela is quickly spreading and is affecting young but vaccinated ages, even if they get infected and spend easier avoiding even hospitalization.

For reviewing the measures, Vitita said that due to the appearance of the Delta case, a little review of the measures has been postponed. The revision will come this week and will be discussed with experts and citizens will be notified after their recommendations.

Regarding the vaccine in Serb majority municipalities, Vitita said they have contacted them, and some in the northern part have shown that a large number has been vaccinated and do not need. On the other hand, some have demanded that their teams be vaccinated, and on the basis of the training requirement, the necessary doses have been delivered.
