“The negotiations in Brussels are unlikely to continue unless there are tangible results”, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic said today, adding that the situation is difficult.
Daciq told Happy TV that the Serbian delegation's red line is recognition of Kosovo as an independent state, and that “everything else cannot harm”.
He confirmed that this morning he spoke with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, for yesterday's meeting in Brussels.
Dacic estimated that it would be difficult to have dialogue even further if there are no tangible results, adding that he has spoken with European Union envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
He (Lajcak) said he would not organise such meetings if there were no results, but obviously he is patient. I think it's good to be patient and that it's better to sit down and talk than to create problems on the ground, but that's a matter of perspective, because Kurt definitely doesn't want to deal with the topics that are on the agenda”, Dachic said.
He also said there has been no notice so far that Greece will recognise Kosovo's independence, but that even if that happens, Serbia has the opportunity to compensate on the other side”.
