Foreign policy director A1rbnor Sadiku has said in an interview for Online Economy that Kosovo officials have been introduced with a policy based on force or <x0real policy”.
According to Sadik, something like this should not have happened since Kosovo is a small state and this would not have been a threat.
“Visitations which have been of Prime Minister Kurti and President Osmani abroad consider them to be the representation of Kosovo in the international arena, however, we have not seen any new recognition or improvement of dialogue in the sense that we have had an upgrade. Kosovo has gone there with a political reality that does not pass because it is known that Kosovo is a small country, and its presentation in the international arena of types of policies that are real political in terms of force does not suit us because we are the country we have a small JDP, an army still well-formed, and we have over all unfinished citizenship in the sense that we are not accepted in the Council of Europe, Interpol, U n NESTO and UN”, he is expressed.
Sadiku has said that Kosovo officials should be introduced to a liberal policy, or as he calls it, the soft diplomacy”, in the sense of readiness for co-operation with international friends. “So we like Kosovo must go back to liberal policies so that through mild diplomacy we can achieve the goals that are; EU integration and Kosovo's accession to different international organisations. As advice to our leaders, it would be to turn from real politics to liberal politics so that we can promote that soft part of Kosovo in the sense that we are willing to co-operate with our international friends to reach an agreement with Serbia that enables Kosovo the fastest integration into the European Union and UN”, he added.
On the other hand, Professor Dritero Arifi has said that since foreign policy depends on domestic officials should work towards a positive climate within Kosovo.
“Every visit taken abroad by the prime minister, ministers and president always positively influences the country's image because there will be bilateral and multilateral meetings where this is exchange of ideas and representation of Kosovo. But foreign policy is the product of domestic policy, if we create positive reports within Kosovo because we do not forget we here have almost all embassies of countries that have bilateral agreements, and these embassies report that usually the governments of host countries when the prime minister or ministers go, they trust more reports of their embassies”, he said.
Arifi has also said that producing good domestic reports as society and policymaking creates a positive image and the credibility of what our representative said abroad.
“If we produce good reports within Kosovo, we have a sound judicial system, there are no near corrupts, organised crime is very low, so a positive image is created then when the prime minister speaks creates a credibility of what he says, so the institution of the Republic of Kosovo. There should be a balance within Kosovo's internal policy of what we produce as society and policymaking”, he has indicated.
According to Arfit, neither President Osmani's visit to Turkey, nor that of Prime Minister Kurti to France have produced any concrete positive results, reports EO.
“President Osmani paid a very good visit, where representation has been at good level, being the first-time new president after elections that are very positive, and by its professional and academic preparation, representation is at good level. On the other hand, Prime Minister Kurti also had a very serious visit from the protocol, but if we start from the content ascetics we didn't understand what the main reason for the visit was, what that visit produced, we realized that only the visa issue has a credibility. Kurti's visit has been very important in a political way, but in a contractual way it is not that it has produced any agreements that Kosovo has benefited in relation to France”, he has said.
