He commented yesterday's statements by special emissary Miroslav Lajcak, who said that in dialogue nothing is technical but political.
” Unfortunately, a recycling of technical conversations is taking place in Brussels, in the absence of political readiness of the parties to reach a comprehensive final agreement”.
According to him, Kurti Government is not ready for productive negotiations.
” The primary EU is maintaining the process and its continuation. On the other hand, the government of the Republic of Kosovo is not ready for holding negotiations, and the primary goal is to preserve the current status quo”.
Colak says the topics discussed will be the same.
This means that even the association discussion is an inevitable topic during this round of negotiations in Brussels. I am not optimistic that there will be any substantial progress on any particular issue at this stage of dialogue”, Colak told Klonkosova.tv.
He even points to Kloncosova.tv that the possibility of reaching the final agreement, which should have mutual recognition as the first point, at this stage seems too distant.
Kosovo and Serbia are expected today to start the new round of talks within the dialogue between the two states.
The talks between Pristina and official Belgrade are held at the level of chief negotiators, said Klonkosova.tv, senior foreign affairs, policy and security spokesman in the European Union Peter Stano.
The Pristina delegation will be run by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, while Belgrade will represent the director of the so-called Serbian Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkov.
