Channel Delta, among the most infectious diseases known to science

U.S. health officials are continuing warnings about the risk of the Delta version of the Coronavirus, which they say is one of the most infectious viruses known to science. They also call on all unexcused ones to be isolated to protect themselves and others. Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, [...]
Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Rochell Walensky said that the Delta version of the coronary is one of the most infectious viruses she has encountered in her 20-year career.
She made these comments during a virtual press conference saying that infections with COVID-19 Delta are continuing to spread throughout the United States.
“The Delta variable is spreading at high speed and now accounts for over 83 percent of infection in the United States. Compared to the virus that circulated in the US at the beginning of the pandemic, the Delta version is much tougher and more contagious”, she said.
Mrs. Walensky urged people to be vaccinated to protect themselves from the variant and to curb the further spread of the coronary.
Our background is clear since we published it several months ago. If you're not vaccinated, keep wearing the mask to protect yourself and others around you. And most importantly, you need to vaccinate to better protect yourself”, she said.
At this meeting it was not known whether the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is considering the possibility of changing mask guidance. In May, they said that people who were fully vaccinated do not need to use masks when in public spaces.
According to data processed by Johns Hopkins University, from the beginning of the pandemic, the United States recorded over 34 million cases of COVID-19 and over 610 thousand deaths. / VOA
