The chairman of the Association of Building Material Producers from Argjila, Mustafe Borovci, has said that abolishing the decision on the protection measure for the 19x19x25 blocs imported from Serbia is harmful to Kosovo producers.
He in Info Magazine of Kosovo has stated that this decision to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Construction puts them in a competition with Serbian producers, who it says are better than Kosovo's.
The decision taken to abolish the measure for blocs originating from Serbia is generally harmful for the country's economy, especially for local producers of these products, that is, the blocks produced by mature clay”.
This puts us in the face of a fierce competition with Serbian producers who have support from indirect subsidies on the part of the state and who make a tremendous pressure on the Kosovo market”, Borovci said.
The first of the block makers from the clay has stressed that until Serbia had banned the import of these blocs for five years in Kosovo, the factory situation has improved.
