The blast occurred on Tuesday, July 27th, in Chempark, one of the largest industrial parks in the world.
Currentta said that the explosion occurred in a section of the park where waste is found and that it is not yet clear what caused it.
After the explosion, a toxic black cloud was created, which according to the control of the Rhineland-Bergis region headed to the areas of Bursaid and Vermelskirchen, while the heavy smell felt as far as Zollingen and Wuppertal.
