Meanwhile, according to foreign media, 700 persons from the search-saving teams of Shizuoka Prefecture, firefighters and Japan's army resumed their rescue efforts, but their operations have repeatedly been suspended due to flood danger.
As a result of the slides of more than 130 homes were swept away by landslides, some 2,830 families in the city remained without electricity.
