Kosovo police have arrested an official of the Kosovo Forest Agency in Decani, who is suspected of misusing official office.
His arrest allegedly relates to the poisoning case of about 1,000 and 500 citizens in the villages of this municipality.
The news has been confirmed by Peja Foundation Prosecutor Shkodran Nikci's spokesman.
“Po was detained an AKP official near MPMHI at Decan for misuse of official office, while in carrying out the official task in the quality of the forestman at Decani's Gryca. Investigations are under way to see if this case has any links to the water issue in the Decani municipality”, he said.
By contrast, the National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo (ISHPK) has announced that following analyses, certain bacteria have been identified that may provide indicator for safe water contamination.
