General Assad Kohistan told the BBC that the Americans left Bagram at 3: 00 a.m. Friday, and that the Afghan army found out only hours later that they woke up in the morning.
Bagram also holds a prison, and reportedly there were 5,000 Taliban prisoners, reports the BBC, translates Periscopi.
The Taliban have advanced to Afghanistan to the point of full retreat.

Speaking to reporters at the air base, he said he was receiving reports that they were making “movement in rural areas” in the vicinity.
You know, if we compare with Americans, there's a huge difference,” he said.
Kohistan has only 3,000 troops under his command, or much less than tens of thousands, than America.
About a thousand Afghan soldiers fighting the Taliban in the north of the country have fled out of the border to Tajikistan on Monday. /Periscope
