About 60 thousand believers go to the Pilgrimage in Mecca.

The first pilgrims arrive in Mecca today, to be followed by 60,000 believers this year.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia this year invited believers to apply to come to Mecca, after which they selected 60,000 out of about 550,000 applicants, the BBC reports.

Only residents aged 18-65 who have received both doses of the vaccine and have no chronic illness have had the opportunity to apply for Hadge.

Hagi is traditionally one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.

Last year, only 10,000 people went to Mecca because of the coronary pandemic.
