An 11-year-old boy has been killed and three others have been injured in a watergame park when their circular sailing device was turned down.
The tragedy took place on Sunday at the Everventureland entertainment park in Altoona, U.S.A., when six people were sailing in a circular raft on the then overturned river-like river, police reported.
The four injured were taken to the hospital, including three with severe wounds and a child struggling for life.
Police said: “Our prayers and thoughts are with the Jaramillo family and other affected. Detectives are investigating the causes of this tragic accident. ”
The water-falling game requires participants to be at least three feet [1 m] long and reportedly had been checked the day before the incident, without signaling problems.
After the tragedy the park said that the implant will be thoroughly inspected and closed.
The incident marks the second victim in five years, since park worker Steve Booher, 68, was killed while helping customers get up in 2016, six days after he started working.
Booher reportedly had fallen into the transmitter by slamming his head on what caused damage to his brain. He died four days after the accident.
The park was then fined $4,500 by the health and security authority.
