It has been operating in Kosovo for 13 years. And there are about 500 people working in different qualities. Members of the Euex Police are often seen in public but rarely in action. Their recent event, which made a big fuss, was in the arrest of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders.
Their special unit assisted the police in the Special Prosecutor's Office. Their co-operation will continue for at least two years in Kosovo. This has continued the mandate of the EULEX mission until 14 June 2023.
The Special Court is one of the main reasons according to law connoisseurs for extending the mandate. That it will support the Specialised Chambers, but even the Special Prosecutor's Office have confirmed the Elux mission itself in response to television.
The amount earmarked for this mission's spending from June 15th 2021 to June 14th 2023 will be 173m and 693 thousand and 683 euros.
But does the state of Kosovo pay for this mission?
According to Miftaw, the Eulex Mission will continue operating in Kosovo until the Special Court -- which, according to him, will last at least 10 years.
