Cremon said that new proposals for dialogue are welcome, while according to her, past agreements in the process cannot be rejected. The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, remained in Kosovo two days, where he met with Kosovo institutions leaders and visited various regions, including a visit to Serb-run north of Kosovo.

“I hope that in the coming weeks, we will see a approach to positions, this is done through negotiations, and it is not surprising for me to have maximum position on one side and maximum position on the other”, Cromon said. According to her, Prime Minister Kurti's new proposals in the dialogue are welcome, but cannot be against existing agreements.

“If someone comes up with new proposals it's very good for the interior audience, it's good for new ideas, but of course you can't be against existing” agreements, Von Croamon said. The rapporteur for Kosovo to the European Parliament, during the visit to Kosovo, met with the highest leaders of Kosovo institutions. At this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and von Cromon discussed the June 15th meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.

Citizens should benefit from dialogue

According to Prime Minister Kurti, about the issue of missing war, “Serbia should open archives and show the location of other graves allegedly in Serbia”. Prime Minister Kurti and Violet von Cromon, as stated in the government's announcement, “agreed that the new dialogue on relations between Kosovo and Serbia should be a constructive and clear process, from which citizens benefit”. Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, at the meeting with the European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo, spoke of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, where according to President “this process should be completed with recognition on the part of Serbia and that the agreements reached should affect the improvement of citizens' lives”.

Kosovo rapporteur Violet von Cremon speaking of the agreement signed on September 4th at the White House between Kosovo and Serbia to improve economic reports, said it is not safe if the new US administration insisted on its implementation.

I am not sure that the EU has been fully compatible with this, or supported it. I am for the EU facilitated dialogue, and the new Biden administration is important to have harmonisation even with special envoy Mr. Palmer regarding the harmonisation of Washington and EU reports on the question of dialogue”, said von Cromon.

France still blocking visa liberalisation

The rapporteur for Kosovo, speaking of the visa liberalisation issue, has expressed regret and has found France's decision not to share green light for the visa liberalisation process for Kosovo, nor on the last visit Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti made to Paris. She reiterated the position that Kosovo has met technical conditions and said the EU is losing credibility in this process. “I hope that at some point we will see less polarised attitudes and more suitable political environment in France. I have hoped that during Germany's EU presidency last year, it would be possible to have this topic on the agenda, while we all know that Kosovo has met technical conditions as well as the commission and other states would like to get the green light for visa liberalisation. After all, it is a question of the Council of Europe, and in that view there are some council members who are still skeptical and hesitate to task for the”, said Violet von Cremon.

However, the pressure of the international factor over Kosovo- Serbia is increasing day by day, demanding that Kosovo and Serbia reach an agreement on improving reports.

The next meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq will be held on July 25th, mediated by the European Union.

One of the issues that these days became the subject of debate in the media in Pristina and Belgrade, but not by the institutions of both countries, was a US report on Ujman Lake, which is expected to be part of Kosovo-Serbia talks.

The US handed over the Kosovo government and the government of Serbia's feasibility study of Weyman Lake, which is part of the September 4th 2020 agreement signed at the White House in the presence of then-President Donald Trump.

The agreement aims to improve Kosovo-Serbia economic relations. In the U.S. Department of Energy report, the formation of a commission or committee for the Iber River, which is located in the northern part of Kosovo that would help discuss the possibility of managing water resources such as the Water Lake. Weiman Lake is an artificial lake built on the bed of the Iber River in northern Kosovo.
