Eighteen vehicles were involved in the accident because of bad weather and heavy rains. The area is involved in a tropical storm that has destroyed dozens of homes.
The authorities announced that children who suffered a tragic accident in their lives range from nine months of age to 17 years of age.
The nine - month - old baby died in a vehicle with her father, writes foreign media.
The other eight victims were in a vehicle belonging to a shelter for abandoned, neglected, or abused girls. The youngest among the victims in this vehicle was four years old.
Five others were injured during the crash, but no one is in critical condition for life, the foreign media later wrote.
