Tensions return, Israeli special forces kill two Palestinian police officers

Israeli Special Forces killed two Palestinian security officers Thursday in the occupied West Coast, Palestinian authorities said. The Palestinian authority is co-ordinated in the area of security with Israel on the West Coast despite the impasse of diplomatic talks. Palestinian personnel rarely clash with the Israelites and usually do not get involved in Israeli raids on the West Coast.
Palestinian officials have not commented yet on last night's incident in Yeen. However, the Palestine Health Ministry said that besides two deaths, another person has been seriously injured, Reuters writes.
An Israeli source said: “It seems that the unit they shot at was classified. Our forces turned the fire on him, thinking that shooting by Palestinian men was part of the clash with wanted terrorists”.
A few weeks ago, Israel and Palestinians fought for 11 days. During the fighting, more than 250 people were killed, mostly Palestinians in Gaza. The sides reached a ceasefire with Egypt's mediation and following strong international pressure to establish peace.
