Tahiri answers Veliu: The decision was made based on Article 31 of the LDK) statute

The chairman of the Vushtrri municipality, Xhafer Tahiri, has indicated that the removal of the competencies of the Podujevo branch of Agim Veliun is based on Article 31 of the LDK statute.

He has commented Agim Veliu's statement that removing his competencies was illegal and not in principle with the LDK statute.

A deal has been made with no consent. We've been discussing a big deal to overcome everything. They've made the illegal decision today, legalization for me. It's contrary to the LDK statute. No one has a right without the process to change the mayor, by choosing, downloading or loading. That's what Veliu said.

He has thus indicated that under no circumstances would be reconciled to such a decision.

In this case, headship has ruled against the statute. He has no right to that decision. This is the decision that has been made without the co-ordination of the LDK structures. This is an illegal decision for me. Unregistered.”, Veliu added.

Tahiri, who is also a member of the LDK leadership, has said the decision is based on the statute.

I can say that the decision was taken with Article 31 of the LDK statute, which says the LDK's leadership can organise elections, change or even dismiss members at the LDK branch. I believe Agim Veliu's contribution is welcome. But I also believe that the LDK has no more comfort to tolerate losses. You will see in October when Ekrem Hyseni returns the municipality of Podujevo that we have had right”, he said.
