Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla has reacted today to the Swiss newspaper “Neue Zurcher Zeitung”, it appears that the paper in question has used incorrect statements in text of its interview that connect with the Kosovo Liberation Army.
“The NZZ published the false claim that the KLA committed murder after the war ended. The KLA was disbanded after Kosovo's liberation in June 1999. If the crimes were reportedly committed, they were made by individuals, not by KLA”, Gervala wrote.
The editor of the newspaper, Andreas Ernst, has responded to these words in question, it seems that the journalist who wrote the text stated that the KLA has collective responsibility for what happened, but that perpetrators have indigenous responsibilities.
Our “Autori Andy Reich has written that the post-war <x1 crimes, primarily were conducted by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army”. He does not claim to have collective KLA responsibility, but says perpetrators have individual responsibilities”, NZZ editor wrote.
Ernst has responded further to Gervailla's claim that after June 1999 there has been no The KLA, attaching a NATO report to the KLA, which reportedly broke up on September 20th 1999.
Besides, the NATO communiqué reportedly did not say that the KLA was disbanded in June, but on September 20, 1999. NZZ has correctly introduced the situation”, the Swiss newspaper's foreign policy editor Andreas Ernst concluded.
