Skender Hyseni: Dialogue with Serbia could be closed within 2021

Skender Hyseni, former Kosovo chief negotiator in the first phase of dialogue with Serbia, in an interview for Euronews Albania, says the process could be completed within this year. “Dialog must definitely be concluded with mutual recognition, the outcome of this dialogue should not leave any aspect of the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo to [...]
“Dialog must certainly be concluded with mutual recognition, the outcome of this dialogue should not leave any aspect of the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo unresolved. We have the moment and if we are going to know how to use it, we can complete the process within this year and do not see at all impossible that Kosovo and Serbia by the end of the year sign a final” agreement, Mr. Come in.
But that, according to him, depends on whether Prime Minister Albin Kurti is aware US agreements and orders should be implemented. Also according to Mr. Hyseni, Kurti must give up the arrogance he and Vetevendosje are showing both in domestic politics and foreign policy.
“I very much hope that the Kosovo government will understand how important and beneficial it is for Kosovo to continue where it remains, with that framework of fundamental principles that are very clear and to aim at harmonisation of the general agreement that must certainly be and mutual recognition”, said Mr. Hyseni
According to the former chief negotiator from the June 15th meeting in Brussels, nothing spectacular “ ” is expected, since <x2 is effectively continuing the dialogue that started in July last year”. Mr. Come in talking about the meeting he had with Mr. Kurti says he has given him the most sincere advice on how the problem should be handled with Serbia and on what principles the dialogue should continue.
Kosovo must show seriousness in international relations, with no disregard to its agreement that ratified them in the Assembly. That is not the case with foreign policy and no country, especially the policy of a country that has not yet closed its” statute, he adds.
Kosovo according to Mr. Hyseni doesn't care about procrastinating the dialogue because it's just what's wrong. The “is in Kosovo's vital interest to end this conflict with Serbia as soon as possible and focus on other major issues for the consolidation of state”, he declares.
According to him, Kosovo “cannot play total independence in foreign policy”. He stressed that the Ahtisaari package is not an international agreement, but a report on resolving Kosovo's problem. The same is true of Rambouille, who is completely past and does not need to apply anything of that agreement. And for Resolution 1244, Mr. Hyseni said he would cease to exist only when a new resolution is approved at the UN where it will be found that the mission UNMIK in Kosovo is complete.
