According to “Novost” British KFOR troops asked citizens whether it would be better for Kosovo police to secure the monastery instead of KFOR following the conflict of extending a road around the monastery.

Serbian citizens told KFOR troops that their visit concerned them because the monastery was very important, naming it “approval”.

They had added that KFOR knew citizens did not trust the Kosovo Police, Periscop reports.

They know very well that we don't trust the Kosovo Police, and therefore the reasons are many. In addition to numerous thefts not caught and attacks by Albanians on our property, Kosovo police have not resolved the case of killing children in August 2003 on the Bistrica River...”

The “was clear that this visit was provocation and only confirmed that we should not trust even the appointed members of KFOR,” said after that visit. /Periscope
