It is “Paraceratherium linxienese”, which lived 26.5 million years ago, weighing 21 tons the equivalent of four large African elephants.
The creature's head without horns could reach up to 7m, making it even longer than the giraffe, reports the BBC.
The new findings were extracted from fossils discovered in the Ghansus province.
In a study published in the magazine “Communications Biology” on Thursday, scientists said that fossil analysis found near the village of Wagoachan in 2015 showed a whole new species different from the giant rhinos we know.
The team of scientists was making a discovery that the new species were close to the giant rhinos who once lived in Pakistan, which meant that they had traveled through Central Asia.
