School year ends on July 2nd

Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci has presented the work she has done since March, when she also took over the task of leading this conductor.

Minister Nagavci announced her first decision was for supplementary instruction and accelerated organisation for 441 Kamenica municipality students.

Nagavci has indicated that the school year will end on 2 July and that the prom test will be held on 26 June.

The administrative directive that is in force envisioned the outcome on June 10th, but because of the spring break and the decision we have made to organise summer vacation has lasted until July 8th. Despite that and reports by municipalities and several days have been replaced on Saturdays, and the lesson will last until July 2nd”, Nagavci indicated.

 The decision to organise supplementary learning for students who have been stuck to achieve results as a consequence of COVID-19 pandemic. This process has developed at the level of pre-university education at primary school, and especially in the first and second grade, but also at other levels depending on the definitions of schools and municipalities for the impasse or needs students have had for fulfillment. We've been handed over reports from the AKA on the number of students who have participated in this supplementary lesson, and the work is continuing because the need to improve results is even more obvious because COVID-19. We have made the decision to organise accelerated alternative learning for 441 Kamenica municipality students”, Nagavci said

Nagavci, among other things, indicated that 239 reports are pending, requiring review by the State Council of Quality, on which it stresses that steps are being taken for the Agency of Discension about the division of location.

 The emergency for us to have this functional state council is for the fact that 239 reports of international experts and 10 reports of institutional accreditation are in store. So it's urgent that the quality council be introduced as soon as possible so that all the reports can be considered so that the new academic year will find us prepared to make preparations. We expect that very soon the Kosovar Agency of Accreditation will continue working at a new location, and that beyond that, I have begun procedures for recruiting staff for the Kosovo Agency of Discension. It is important that all preconditions be created so that all students who complete their studies in the institutions of higher education have diplomas known in other countries, Serbian Minister Nagavci indicated.

While in co-operation with public universities, Nagavci says to have taken all measures for youth student registration quotas to comply with labour market needs

At this conference, Nagavci also talked about the status of the University of northern Mitrovica, which he said the functioning of this university is not legitimate.
