SBASK Minister Murati: You owe the education sector

The United Education, Science and Culture Union of Kosovo, commenting on Kosovo's Finance Minister Iron Murati's statements that soon the package of economic recovery will be prepared and the review of the budget will take place, saying to carry out their debt to the education sector. SBASK has reminded Minister Murati that this [...]

The SBASK has reminded Minister Murati that this debt stems from the government's decision on February 18, 2021, which concerns the additional wage for the education sector for increased and directly exposed to pandemic.

The first extension of this decision was made for the February month's salary, but there is no further guaranteed support from this Government Decision, and that is why Minister Murati preparing the budget review don't forget this debt you owe to employees in the education system. That you owe this to employees in the education sector, we've reminded them of how much time and time through official paperwork. We have also reminded Minister Nagavci of all the meetings we have had with her so far and have requested her commitment to this issue in order to have acceptable solutions through dialogue. Minister Murati is good to carry out this debt to the education sector and we will be grateful. On the contrary, we will not stop demanding debt by addressing the court's conscience and receiving positive answers from justice organs, but then the debt amount will be added to taxes and other judicial obligations, and this is bad for the Kosovo budget”, said the communiqué.
