The trial panel of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague has decided that the trial process against Salih Mustaf will begin on September 15th, 2021.
According to the Special Court's announcement, the Specialised Prosecutor will have three hours available for his opening statement, while the representative of the victims will be available for an hour and a half.
The court ruled that the first two witnesses called by the Specialised Prosecutor will be heard between Monday, September 20, 2021 and Tuesday, September 28, 2021, broadcast Telegraphy.
This is the first issue before Kosovo's Specialised Chambers, for which the judicial process will begin.
Special Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) at The Hague on 09.06. 2021 had demanded that on July 12th of this year the trial begin in the case of former Kosovo Liberation Army member Salih Mustafa, but this date has rejected the defendant's defence, which proposed that the trial start after summer holidays.
At the prepared trial conference in the case of Salih Mustaf, Z. The SP has proposed, along with the beginning of the trial, on 15 July, to begin receiving testimony from two witnesses.
Salih Mustafa, known as Commander “Cali”, was arrested in September 2020 and has been held in custody at The Hague since that date.
The act against Mustafa was confirmed on June 12th. On September 28th, former chief of staff The KLA, Salih Mustafa, appeared before the judge of the preliminary procedure.
