600 specialists who started working last year are demanding regular salaries from the Ministry of Health.
To meet that requirement, they have staged protests Monday from 11:00 before the Ministry's facility.
“Protesta is made in order to meet with the minister, who has not returned the answer to our official demands and the ignorance he is showing us. Our request is to cross to PAGA REGALLY” says in announcing the organization of this protest in a group of specialists.
We have these two crucial weeks and the pressure should not stop, because no one guarantees that we will be granted subsidies in October and no one guarantees that next year we can make regular wages, and then we'll stay nowhere. Now it's time to mobilize, all of us, without any difference, for our rights, for no discrimination, for equality, for the payment of our efforts we do”.
Specialists so far have received salaries through funding for subsidies.
Former Health Minister Armenmen Zemaj, who started the specialisation process, had said they were “subventing during their professional schooling, in order to make the same process easier to cope with the entire specialisation process, until the end of the” programme.
For this process, he has criticised Zemaj's successor, who said it took place over and over again.
Vitia has said that Kosovo Hospital Service clinics are overloaded with new specialists.
“120 accepted specialists are not known where they came from. There's 12 specialists for a clinical mentor”.
