The Presevo Valley is not on the planet of Kurti”

While politician Shkodran Ramadani estimates the Presevo Valley is not on government plans.

“It seems that now the Presevo Valley is no longer part of this government's plans of the past, after about two years when the Presevo Valley was a hot topic in Kosovo politics, namely on the issue of dialogue with Serbia, where it coincided with an exchange of territories, where it concerned that the Presevo Valley could potentially join Kosovo, and this made them parties for the first time after many years of dialogue, where there were frequent meetings with the Presevo Valley of Kosovo leaders and now, as the idea of exchange seems no longer to be at the closing table of the Presevo Valley and Kosovo's mutual dialogue efforts.

“I therefore believe that now less and less the focus and dedication of Albanians and Valleys, because the focus of dialogue has turned from the exchange of territories to Kosovo's domestic constitutional reorganisation, which could include a potential association of Serb-run municipalities. So it seems that idea which initially found support even in some international circles, in some states, which some opposed some of the lens of space by being flexible, now I believe that the Valley will not be high on the agenda and priorities of Kurti Government because now the EU role is very large than it has been in the time of Mr. Thaci, you know that the EU in charge of Germany has been strict with regard to potential change of borders, so I believe that the Valley will not have a very large role in the phase of dialogue Kosovo”, Ramadani said of EO.

On the other hand, analyst Fitim Salihu told Online Economy that it has never been done enough for Presevo, Bujanovac's Medvedja.

Salihu added that the Presevo Valley requirements should be irrevocably introduced at the negotiating table between Kosovo and Serbia.

Not only this government but each is never much to engage in the Presevo Valley, and I appreciate that it's never done enough with the Presevo Valley, unfortunately even with this government we're never seeing as much as Presevo Valley deserves in view of one being a part of the nation that's orphaned across the border. I think the government of Kosovo should do more in relation to the Presevo Valley, and I appreciate that we should no longer go into negotiations because there has been enough of these 20 years of compromises to be made in relation to Kosovo Serbs, and that we should not go to negotiations with Serbia without being driven by the principle of political reciprocity that any concessions made for Serbs in Kosovo are being demanded the same release, the same guarantee for Valley Albanians, because of intentional disregard from Belgrade and because of the forgetfulness by Pristina and Tirana, and every day more Albanians are dropping out of the region.

Whether the Valley Albanians are involved in dialogue or not, the important thing is that their demands are present in Brussels... Be irrevocable requests from Pristina”.

“I believe that the Valley Albanians need the hand of Pristina that in all different forms not only politically but also in forms that facilitate their lives there, like in education, in sports, they get helped and go off pressure on them to abandon Valley”, he said.
