Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci has welcomed the action of Kosovo's Prosecution and Police bodies for today's action where 21 people were arrested in the “case. Subvention 2021”
Peci says that today's action is the most serious attempt to restore the dignity of farmers and farmers, who he says have become the target of fraud over the years.
“Farmers and farmers are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to denounce any action that has violated and damaged their work and sweat. Subventions should reach the farmers but not the abusers and deceivers.
By sharing subsidies for farmers and farmers, without intermediation or misuse, we will be able to provide an environment and favourable climate for this vital category for the state”, Peci said in a Facebook post.
He says they will not stop having this ministry restore the reputation and image it deserves.
This is an attempt to establish legitimacy today. We will not stop or be spared that this minister, who has become famous because of criminal schemes, restores his reputation, trust and image, so that we can exclusively benefit farmers and farmers”, Peci added.
While, today, through a media conference, the prosecutor of the case, Rafet Halimi, said the operation was conducted in several Kosovo municipalities, such as Pristina, Peja, Gjilan and Istog.
The number of detainees is 21. Of this number, 14 are officials of the Agriculture Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and officials in the Kosovo municipality.
