PDK formalises Agim Ali for Ferizaj chairman

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Enver Hoxhaj today has formalised Agim Ali's candidacy for the mayor of Ferizaj municipality.

At a news conference, Hoxhaj has said Agim Aliu is the model mayor of an example municipality in Kosovo and all achieved in the Ferizaj municipality bear the seal, passion, and the dedication of a man who loves him above all his city.

“We're here today for two things. First, we are here to thank Agim Ali for the extraordinary work he has done for Ferizaj and the citizens during this term. Dawn has set an example of how it is governed for the good of citizens. And second, to officially request that good work continue for another four years. So, yes. Dawn enjoys my full trust, party trust, structures and, more importantly, the citizens of Ferizaj to continue the major change that has started in this city. As a party of freedom, independence and statehood, we are also parties to the jobs and responsibilities we take to citizens. And the best example is Agim Aliu in Ferizaj model that we will carry from October this year even to Kosovo municipalities like Pristina, Prizren, Mitrovica, Kline, Skenderaj, Drenas and to Sharr.”, he has said.

Hoxhaj has said the PDK does not stop even when it is wronged and represents a model of government and development such as the government in Ferizaj, against the pattern of fraud created by Prime Minister Kurti, who is reasoning on family employment.

“Ferizaj today is an urban entrepreneurship centre linking Pristina and Skopje, thanks to Agim Ali's dedication. A city where interest in investing is not only local entrepreneur but also abroad. It's only been possible thanks to the vision, the work and dedication of Agim, whose list by arrival is huge. I'm mentioning just a few of them -- over 100m euros of investment in Ferizaj, completion of the City Union project that I consider a utopic dream from many who, the beginning of construction of the Ferizaj regional hospital, building new schools; reducing municipal taxes, more green spaces and promotion of investments in the tourist region of Jerzerci returning to the top of Kosovo<1>, he has stressed.

Mayor Hoxhaj has invited Ferizaj's citizens to continue supporting the PDK and Agim Aliu to launch new projects and to spread this good development model to other municipalities.

In contrast, Ferizaj municipality mayorial candidate Ferizaj from the PDK ranks, at the same time head of the PDK branch in Ferizaj and current mayor of this municipality, Agim Aliu, has thanked President Hoxhaj and party structures that even for a mandate were entrusted with the candidacy to govern this municipality.

Of course this support and belief is also my appreciation because it's been four years. Four years ago in Ferizaj there was a union that didn't recognize political overtones, it was love for a different Ferizaj to stop a chapter that had brought bad things to this city, so that it would return to the dignity and development of this city, and we were the best summary of it all. We with our work have surpassed everything we had within the platform and overstepped the expectations of the citizens, because we had the courage and the right people to carry out these projects. Our vision of Ferizaj's transformation goes beyond a mandate and we will not stop because that's what the citizens have decided and are deciding.”, Agim Aliu stressed.
