Kosovo Democratic Party representative (PDK), at the Central Election Commission, Arian Elshani, has talked about the reasons for boycotting this meeting.
He for Periscope has said that through this boycott, they demand that the CEC be functional as soon as possible and the other two members that are from PDK and VAKAT are appointed.
“Beyond this boycott, we demand that as soon as possible be functional in the CEC, the two missing members in the CEC, which are one of the PDK and one of the Vacat. Without the appointment of these two members, the management of local elections is at stake.”, he said of Periscope.
On the other hand, he has said that the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has unequivocally dismissed Valdet Daka from the position of CEC chairman, so has jeopardised holding local elections.
Kosovo's <x0) president, without facts and politically influenced by a political party, made a decision to dismiss the CEC chairman and appoint the new task leader. With that decision, the process of local elections this year has also been jeopardised. So I invite the policies and political agendas of LVV to keep their hands off the institutional independence belonging to the CEC.”, he said of Periscope.
Otherwise, Kreshnik Radoniqi has been appointed chairman of the CEC after the dismissal of Valdete Daka./Periscopi/
