In its Facebook profile, Osmani has published a portion of the address to representatives of the member states of this forum.
With this year's host, president of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Erdogan is participating in the annual summit of the Co-operation Process in Southeast Europe (SEECP). In my speech to representatives of the member states of this forum, I have talked about the challenges of the region, the EU integration process, as well as regional co-operation opportunities. Among other things, I have stressed that regional co-operation is necessary, but also possible, if it is based on recognition and respect of each other”, the president of the state said.
On the other hand, Osmani has said he has called on countries that do not recognise Kosovo's independence to do so as soon as possible.
Therefore, I once again called on countries which have not yet recognised Kosovo's independence to recognise it, because it is irreversible reality, as well as respect it in full of our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Euro-Atlantic integration is not just an option for us, it parks the only way forward. But our commitment to integration should be recognised by the European Union”, Osmani wrote, saying he has also called for visa liberalisation for Kosovars.
“As we are moving rapidly towards the integration of our country, meeting all the requirements set out to us, even the European Union should assess the commitment of Kosovo citizens and keep its promise of visa liberalisation. Today, Antalya Diplomatic Forum begins, where together with presidents, prime ministers from many countries of the world will discuss a variety of topics, from the challenges of pandemic to the challenges of global governance”, Osmani has written.
