Osmani was part of a virtual discussion organised by the American organisation “Atlantic Council”, which deals with international security issues.
“In this process, Kosovo is prepared to go into talks to reach a reciprocal agreement that at the centre has mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia. I think it will depend on how Serbia will behave in dialogue and what it really thinks about its membership in the European Union, Osmani has said.
She has stressed the fact that Kosovo has sat at the table of discussions and why Serbia has never apologized for all the damage caused during the war in Kosovo.
I think that multiethnic values are being implemented in all spheres in the country, and I'm proud of that. It is time for Serbia to decide what it wants, Kosovo has always demonstrated constructiveity and we have extended the hand of co-operation. We are sitting at the negotiating table even though Serbia has never apologized”.
Similarly, the country's president during her conversation with the executive deputy chairman of this organisation, Damon Wilson, has also discussed Kosovo's priorities, such as membership in INTERPOL and NATO.
Kosovo's “Membership in Interpol is one of the most important priorities of fighting organised crime exceeding local size”, Osmani said, adding that “is important to work with NATO members to convince that Kosovo's membership is extremely important for the” region.
Meanwhile, the 15th day of June is the official date when the meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic, which will be realised under the dialogue mediated by the European Union.
For developments in talks between Kosovo and Serbia, Prime Minister Kurti will report to the Kosovo Assembly on June 11th.
This has been announced by Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group chief Mimoza Kusari-Lila after the Assembly of the Assembly's Headship, which was held on Tuesday, June 8th.
