The national union between Kosovo and Albania can be realised if there is will from both states, says Vetevendosje. However, the opposition says this issue has been forgotten by the Government itself.
In an interview for Online Economy, Vetevendosje MP Fatmire Kolcak said there is a readiness by this party for co-operation with Albania.
On the other hand, she said the union could occur in different forms in the sense that a border is not an obstacle to better reports.
It's the idea of national unity. It's the enduring idea of the Albanian people, whether Albania or Kosovo, who are unjustly divided, but such an idea does not prevent us from coming to an end through the will of the two countries because we have an unfair limit set, but if both governments be that of Albania and that of Kosovo will be committed to co-operation for all spheres of life. Even the Kosovo Assembly itself and as chairman of the Health Commission I have a full readiness to have close co-operation with Albania. The Union could occur in different forms in the sense that a border is not an obstacle to better reports”, Kolcak added.
On the other hand, PDK MP Ariana Musliu-Sashi said a plan for deepening co-operation with Albania is not envisioned in the government's programme.
Musliu-Shoshi says Kosovo and Albania are two independent states and can function only under signed agreements for the exploitation of joint headquarters in countries where Kosovo does not have ambassadors.
If you read the foreign policy part, it's a paragraph of deepening co-operation with Albania. I can also tell the government and public opinion that we are two independent states and we can only function on terms of agreements we have signed for the use of common headquarters in countries where we do not have ambassadors or are not recognized. We can use these common headquarters. But that part is completely forgotten. We can also make joint initiatives with Albania but apparently have forgotten to include”, she said.
According to AAK deputy Time Kadriaj, says statements from the position for national union are of populist purposes.
“May be the national union, whether the non-recognition of the Kosovo anthem flag with all of this VV has made a populism and has made populism in the paragraph that the government programme has dedicated to the national union. Kosovo has been defined as part of the EU, and we are also asking for the integration of the Western Balkans to go unilaterally because at the negotiating table with the EU, we have demanded that the integration of the Western Balkans become the same and yet it is unfair that official Brussels prevails on Serbia trying to obtain candidate status while Kosovo still has no visa liberalisation, and this is unfair”, Kadriaj said.
