OAK: Remove Restricted Measures With a View to Economic Resilience · Global Voices

The Kosovo Afarism Oda (OAK), based on the small number of cases announced by Covid-19, as well as assessing the serious state of business requires the country's institutions that all restrictive measures, which are currently in force to leave in order to support businesses by being respected [...]
The OAK's demand was due to the very serious situation facing the private sector as a result of the pandemic and the lack of support offered so far on the part of institutions, thus jeopardising not only the loss of jobs but also the well-being and further operation of economic operators and the state budget.
“OAK is a follower of the fact that every measure in good order to protect public health is respected. However, given that we now officially begin with the summer season, the arrival of diaspora and tourists in general is conditioned by the restrictive measures that will be in place, so OAK requires their departure because such a decision would directly affect the improvement of the financial situation in businesses and the sustainability of the country's economy. The summer season and the arrival of exiles is an opportunity of support for the country's businesses and, given the reduction of the cases with Covid-19, OAK requires that these current measures in force be removed as soon as possible. The OAK requires the removal of business restrictions by 11: 00 p.m., the ban on gathering more than 10 people after 0: 00 a.m., no parties, etc. OAK considers that the private sector is currently heavily burdened as a result of the pandemic and has no capacity to deal alone with the further consequences caused by the pandemic, where, as a result of the financial lack of support, businesses are unable to keep the number of employees who have so far had”, the OAK communiqué says.
According to the OAK, the removal of these measures would create an opportunity for business recovery and labor maintenance of workers.
