Kosovo police have announced that 37 fatal accidents have been caused in this period of time.
During this period, however, two thousand and 753 injuries were reported, causing the injury of five thousand and 419 citizens.
“For January-May 2021, 37 fatal accidents have occurred and lost 42 people's lives, so Kosovo Police will continue to increase police presence in traffic as well as the enterprise of punitive measures against all offenders, where only during the last 24 hours Sunday, 1,184 fines have been pronounced, while in the five months period it has pronounced 167.304 fines against all criminals, reported by Kosovo Police.
Police have called for caution during their participation in traffic, also stressing that traffic regulations and signs be respected.
“Put police activities in this regard, Kosovo Police Persistent A PELON to all traffic participants to respect the rules and signs of road traffic, as well as to adapt to road and atmospheric conditions”, the Kosovo Police's media communiqué further says.
Kosovo police, for all those participating in traffic -- and in particular for drivers who violate traffic laws and regulations -- will not make any tolerance, according to the laws in force will take punitive measures.
