The extraordinary contribution of 76 martyrs from the Mitrovica municipality to the recent war for the country's freedom and independence was praised.
Faruk Mujka, deputy chairman of the Mitrovica municipality, told Kosova Preis that bowing before these martyrs is the least institutions can do, while seeking justice so that the promise and vision of these martyrs can reach its end.
As long as there is Kosovo and the Albanian nation today, we will come here and humble ourselves on June 6th on the Day of Witnesses in our municipality. This is the least we can do as municipal institutions, but also as institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. However, the relatives of the martyrs rightly expect the Mitrovica municipality to have more justice, prosperity, for children and the families of the martyrs, and that is our obligation to fulfill the pledge and vision of our martyrs to take to the end”, Mujika said.
Rafet Ibishi, chairman of the UCK war veterans' organisation in Mitrovica, has ordered new generations that martyrs should never be forgotten, because thanks to their blood today the state of Kosovo enjoys freedom.
We've massed to honour the martyrs. A small amount of honor to market to the new generations that they don't forget, and that every time they have to be remembered, because thanks to their blood, we enjoy freedom today, Ibishi stressed.
Otherwise, because of the general status of pandemic, other activities have not been maintained this year.
