Missing four days in Russia, the American is dead

A 34-year-old American woman who had disappeared from Tuesday in Russia has been found dead and a Russian man has been arrested under suspicion of her murder, Russia's Detective Commission said on Saturday. Russian news agency, RIA, said that the woman, identified as Catherine Serrow, was studying law at a university in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 420 miles [420 km] east of Moscow, since she moved there from California three years ago.
Russia's Detective Commission said it has opened a criminal investigation case for the disappearance of a foreign citizen and that a man in his 40s with a criminal record has been arrested for her death, writes Reuters.
The commission's statement says that the victim had left home about 6 p.m. on the evening of June 15th and had been put in a car. Its location was unknown from that day.
“Today, as a result of a wide search operation, the woman's body has been found”, said the Detective Commission's statement.
