In the declaration of his candidacy for future chairman, Krasniqi has said the PDK needs to open a new chapter, a political project for Kosovo's citizen.
On July 3rd, we will have a democratic election process for the PDK chairman. Being proud of our journey for Kosovo, and feeling the great responsibility we have for the future, I have decided to run to lead PDK. I am fully convinced that together we will build the profile and team we need to give Kosovo and its citizens a real political address, which they desperately need. I am more than determined to together release the potential of democracy, meritocracy and dedication, so that the PDK will be the open door to anyone it wants and there is what to give the country, society and state institutions”, Krasniqi has said.
He said that beyond a political subject, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is a major national and ID project that has given the physicalisation to freedom, independence and sovereign state.
Full statement:
Honored members and sympathies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, beyond a political subject, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is a major national and identity project. For two decades now, it has given the physical economy to our freedom, independence, and sovereign state. Today, the PDK needs to open a new chapter. A political project for the citizen of Kosovo. On 3 July, we will have a democratic election process for the PDK chairman. Being proud of our journey for Kosovo, and feeling the great responsibility we have for the future, I have decided to run to lead PDK. I am fully convinced that together we will build the profile and team we need to give Kosovo and its citizens a real political address, which they desperately need. I am more than determined to together release the potential of democracy, meritocracy and dedication, so that the PDK will be the open door to everyone it wants and has what to give the country, society and state institutions. I aspire and have deep conviction that with the unification of our new energy and state-form experience, we will open up together with the citizens of our country, with the young people who have vision, with the women who have the courage, with the intellectuals who have knowledge, with the values of emancipation and civic political culture. I have full confidence that, with great devotion and hard work, The PDK will return soon to restore Kosovo to its development path, where each citizen can live safely, with dignity and perspective.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has been, is and will remain linked to the Kosovo Liberation Army and its just cause, from which it has been filed. Nothing big, not important, nor stable has happened without the PDK in the past two decades. Over the years, we have been challenged on many plains, but we have never stopped, surrendered, or weakened. What has happened unjustly with Chairman Veselin and former Thaci, these two great leaders who have motivated us for decades, has hurt us a lot. Yet, their vision and theirs The PDK they have led is bigger and stronger than the obstacles we can face on the road. So, The PDK is set to find its new route to, maintaining values, work to return and stay where it belongs. Not only as a competitive subject, but as a winning subject. Not just for the past but for today and separately for the future, with firm determination and complete clarity.
We need unity, commitment, and determination to bring it back together The PDK as conviction, as perspective and as the first choice of our citizens. This is not an alternative but a necessity. Not Just for PDK, but also Kosovo. Dear PDK members and supporters, now 17 years, I share my political destiny with the PDK. For this journey, I am extremely proud.
I know that following the steps of our two leaders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel, is not easy. Rather, it is a huge responsibility. But, I believe, end and finish in PDK, in its loyal people and in the precious citizens of our Republic, with whom we will together open the new chapter we so desperately need. May we be blessed, and may we go out with a white cheek.
