“Mass vaxination is delayed” KP Warning new COVID-19 wave in Kosovo

Infectologists in the country say that although mass inoculation has begun, a very small number of vaccines still remain. Nevertheless, they warn a new wave during the months of September and October, but that the intensity of the infection will be much lower than the one that is lagging behind. Although it is being named by health experts who the vaccine against Ovid 19 has been delayed in our country, they are calling for vaccines whenever opportunity is given. Infectologist Ilir Tolaj in a conversation for Radio Kosovo, said England's example of the Delta version of Coronavirus is showing that only those who have not been vaccinated are being infected and those who have not passed the Devvid-19 infection.

It's important that people who haven't come into contact with the virus be vaccinated as soon as possible. In this regard, the vaccine is of its own importance. On the other hand, the vaccine will increase the immunity of even those who have a acquired level of immunity and help collective immunity general, Tolaj said.

According to infected Tolaj, more than 60 percent of citizens in Kosovo have already been infected with Covid 19. Tolaj does not rule out the possibility of a new wave of Coronavirus after summer vacation, but that he expects to be of much lower intensity.

“A new wave is possible to occur in September or October, but that will be of much lower intensity than these have been. But in general the authorities have been delayed for a massive inoculation, and they have been delayed with their active actions to convince the population of inoculation and are not at the level even with the research of new cases occurring in Kosovo, and this is about a criticism that could cost us in later periods, Tolaj said.

Otherwise, mass immunization started on June 14th. Health Minister Arben Vitita has declared that after many difficulties the journey towards mass communication has been started. He said that soon the first Pfizer vaccine container arrives from the amount the Republic of Kosovo contracted.

“I hope and I hope that we will have a safer autumn and winter and that our most loved ones will be more protected”, he said.

However, Kosovo has launched the vaccine process on March 13th.
