Le Monde calls Kurt a former KLA activist in his interview description.

Kurti has declared that Serbia must accept reality in Kosovo and democratise, the Express reports, Periscopi follows.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti paid his first visit to France on Wednesday. His diplomatic priority is to gain recognition from Serbia, which Belgrade has always rejected since the war.

Kurti has provided an interview for the newspaper “Le Monde” in Paris, where he said it's just a matter of discussion between him and Vuciqi. For the French newspaper, which calls Kurt as former KLA activist, Kosovo's prime minister has said Serbia must accept reality and democratise, the newspaper Express broadcast.

Kurti is a former political wing activist of the Kosovo guerrilla, the Kosovo Liberation Army (UcK). It was held in Serbia for two years in wartime Kosovo. He later created the Vetevendosje movement, with a revolutionary programme and became a staunch opponent of successive KLA commanders. Albin Kurti appeared today as a Social Democrat and was elected as prime minister with a programme to fight unemployment, corruption and organised crime, writes Le Monde.

A brief part of Kurt's interview for the French newspaper:

Le Monde: You have just met Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, in Brussels for the first time. What was your impression?

Kurti: This is the first meeting for a future dialogue. It was not easy but constructive. I insisted that nothing be concealed under the carpet, so that the issue of mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia should be addressed with sincerity. We all need this mutual recognition. Mr. Vuciq responded by saying he will never recognise Kosovo. Refusing reality on one side, or the truth on the other, comes from the same logic. Serbia must distance itself from the days of [Slodan] Milosevic, who started apartheid and ended with genocide in Kosovo. Serbia's leaders must be separated from Milosevic's legacy.

Kosovo's independence is 13-year-old. We can't have discussions like we did before 2008. Since the International Court of Justice ruling in 2010, which welcomed the fact that Kosovo's declaration of independence has not violated international law, this debate has been closed. I will not discuss Kosovo's status, it is a matter of resolution. The only issue today is the relationship between Kosovo and Serbia. Vuchy needs to understand that. Vuciqi still considers Kosovo the territory Serbia must someday restore, without considering its people and citizens. Serbia must face the past and become more democratic.
