Kurti-Vucciq meeting, Ymer: It was dialogue, but it was a display of ideas.

Institute for Social Policy Director “Mousine Koklari”, Ymer, said that if the stances of the Kosovo and Serbian sides remained the same, the chances of reaching an agreement are minimal.
The “courted by Kurt and Vuciq statements it was seen to be talking about two different things, therefore that means that yesterday's meeting was not at all dialogue but it was a kind of display of ideas, purposes, positions of each side. If these attitudes remained unchanged by the two sides, I don't see the possibility of bringing them together. Of course, which I think is going to change and we've come into a dialogue set out on a specific track, which I understand is that the prime minister Kurti is trying to do with the dialogue is to ravia a different kind of dialogue, to say the topics that are discussed and the goals that dialogue should have in general, according to the perspective of Kosovo”.
On the other hand, he said it should reshape Kosovo's dialogue and requirements to be in co-ordination with the international factor.
Now none of the people in Kosovo can say that these are harmful or useless attitudes for Kosovo, but I think the possibility of reshaping the dialogue should be discussed and whether such ideas can be acceptable, for Serbia not that they are not, but not for the international mediator, and for that is the key point, that these attitudes of our prime minister are discussed earlier with our friends' partners or are tableed at the top of Kosovo's property. Not that Kosovo has no right to do such a thing. Not that I don't want the prime minister to do that, I think their effect will be extremely small”.
According to Ymer, Kurti and Vucinqi do not see dialogue as the internationals expect, as Kosovo's prime minister is unwilling to compromise, while Serbia's president does not see recognition as an option.
Now from these attitudes that we saw yesterday, neither Prime Minister Kurti Schee understands dialogue as a process in which he is ready for compromise, nor does Sciciqi understand dialogue as the process for which he should recognise Kosovo, and if these two things are not ready to party, the possibility of having agreements is minimal. Now what we need here in Kosovo to talk about, in my opinion there are two things, the first is the ideal we all agree on, and the second is what's realistic about arriving and whether we want to reach it or not. Also, or lose a moment to reach a potential agreement with Serbia, because we have no opportunity to reach agreement with Serbia, I understand the behaviour of the prime minister and encourage such behaviour. But if possible, then we should think twice about whether we're using this opportunity, always if it's in favour of our interests”, Ymer told EO.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, met on Tuesday in Brussels, within the dialogue, but the parties disagreed on the topics raised.
This has been their first meeting in Brussels, under the dialogue mediated by the European Union. The new round of dialogue is expected to be held in July.
