Kurti meets top NATO official

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with Defence Minister Armend Mehaj, has been hosting NATO Consultative Team Director and Interconnector General Jörg Rüter ( NATO Advisory and Lyaison Team NALT.

General Rüter congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on the new task and responsibility.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked him for his congratulations and expressed gratitude for NALT's role in supporting security organisations in Kosovo.

In the government communiqué, Prime Minister Kurti reportedly expressed the importance of security and peace in the region, for the management of joint training activities of Kosovo Security Force soldiers with troops of allied states within “Defender Europe 21” led by the US, as well as the preparation of KSF soldiers.

He stressed the Government of Kosovo's commitment to this institution.

General Rüter secured continued NALT support for the Kosovo Security Force for capacity building within the NALT mandate.
