Kurti, among other things, said Kosovo's independence, its territorial integrity, state sovereignty and functioning are not questionable.
“with Serbia are willing to discuss our status relations, not our statute because it ended 13 years ago when Kosovo was declared an independent state. That has ended the legal and judicial debate. We are committed to constructive dialogue, but the old method needs to be completed since the case Serbia says it will never recognise Kosovo, meanwhile, from Kosovo is required to do additional things. We are focused on strengthening the state of Kosovo, since the case has expressed our determination to the French president that Europeanisation has no alternative and we will engage in employment and justice, as above all we have our mandate. Of course, Kosovo citizens are interested in visa liberalisation and it is unfair that Kosovo after meeting all criteria still does not have the visa regime removed”, Kurti said.
The country's prime minister stressed that there is no commitment on the part of representatives of France and others regarding the removal of the visa regime for Kosovars.
“Of course that Kosovo citizens are interested in visa liberalisation, it is unfair that Kosovo after meeting all criteria has not yet been removed from the visa regime. On July 18th of this year, it is three years since the European Commission that visas must be removed. This matter has been discussed on our visit. I'm sure they've got our message. There is no pledge on their part that will have the removal of the visa regime. During these months, we have been fighting corruption and organised crime, contradictions, successful combating barriers in co-operation with Italy, Albania and the US. The number of migrations has dropped dramatically. We can hope that as little of this visit will help France put aside its scepticism. We did not get a promise in this regard. We should also work with the Netherlands, hopefully no other countries. But after all, we must strengthen our home, our state, I hope that even our friends in the EU will help us end this injustice against our citizens, Kurti said.
