Prime Minister Albin Kurti will meet with France's President Emmanuel Macron, who had tried to push the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia earlier today.
In February of this year, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq was in the same country. Earlier, there had been former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti.
Macron, after meeting with Vuciqi, acknowledged that the summit's top priority was the Kosovo dialogue, Serbia, while stressing it would support solutions proposed by the Serbian president, whom the French president called innovative.
We had full confidence talks with President Vuciq on this subject, and I want to welcome the responsibility he has received several times to propose some solutions that are innovative. I'm willing to support them”, Macron said.
He stressed that he would support all those who want progress in relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Calculate on me, and I will continue to be with you until we achieve progress on this road, on the road to normalisation, but also on the path that brings stability and peace to the region and I know that this is your target”, Macron expressed.
Vuciq, after meeting with Macroni, had expressed satisfaction, while saying the French president did not want to impose Serbia's recognition of Kosovo's independence.
