Kosovo's baby birth doubled during pandemic

In January of this year, which falls nine months after Kosovo's closure with the Kurti I Government decision, according to official data, 2,666 births have been registered.
This number has gone up. In February 2021 a total of 2,673 births were registered, with an increase of 0.3% compared to January 2021. Of these registered births in February, 1 382 births are males, and 1 291 are female.
As a result of the pandemic, in March there are record births that have been registered within a month, in the last ten years in Kosovo.
In March, 3205 births were registered, where, compared to February 2021, there is an increase in birth rates of 19.9 %. Of these births registered in March, 1699 births are men, and 1506 are women.
Some 1700 new births during the month Mars have been recorded in previous years.
